Shivaji Bhonsle was born on February 19, 1630, at Shivneri Fort in Maharashtra's Pune district. He was the son of Shivaji Nene, a Maratha general affiliated with the Deccan Sultanate. Growing up amid power struggles, Shivaji quickly learned the dynamics of leadership in a tumultuous environment.
